A Great Hunt

This is a picture of my moose that I harvested in the town of Medford, ME in the month of October. My Grandfather, Dennis McLaughlin was the one with the permit and let me be the subpermittee. It was Friday and we couldn't hunt on Saturday so it was the last day.We had called one in on Monday but I couldn't get a shot.It was almost noon and we were heading back to the truck when we "meaning my dad and I" decided to walk through a wooded area.We hadn't gone 100 yard when we saw a young bull and a cow run away through the woods. then when we thought we were busted another bull that looked just like the last one was jogging along and dad grunted to make it stop and when it did I shot but nothing happened so I shot again and when it did it flinched up and ran into the woods. then we radioed the crew to come down.It turned I hit him in the lunges and he didn't go far before we found him.

You are going to have some wonderful stories and photo's to share with your children someday. What a memory you will always have with your dad and grandfather. It sounds like you had a great hunt!!!
